Hi Yummie Dummie,
What was in the Bah Chang that you wrapped? Was it Nyonya Chang? If so, please send me a copy of the recipe. I am collecting the different variations of Nyonya Chang. The one I had growing up was made by our Malaysian Neighbor. Not sure if she is still around or how to get a hold of her.
Hello ping chong! Well, actually I have the recipe and was supposed to pass it to simcooks and lav cupcake but I carelessly left it behind in Perth so I can only get it in April. I'll just email u then :)
The only bak chang with so much fillings gonna be homemade like this.
Nonya Chang is more of small meat cubes and melon strips. The other bak chang is just one piece of bak, then mushrooms, and sometimes chestnuts.
Yummy!
Haha I prefer Nyona though, cos I like the sweet taste. I've yet to try a good version of the other bak zhang though. I heard theres one at Amoy st hope to try it soon! :)
Look forward to your email. Are u stationed in Perth? Thanks Yummie Dummies!
I prefer Nonya ones too! And yes, the sweetness I believe are from the melon strip!
Amoy St...think it's Ho Kee? I thought you tried it before.
yaya Ho Kee! nah i went but it was closed.
lol stationed seems like a funny word to use. I'm in Sg doing my NS while my family is in Perth :)
